In PowerPoint 2016, within the Customize Quick Access Toolbar drop-down menu, you will find the Touch/Mouse Mode option. This essentially is a toggle button that alternates between touch and mouse modes. Touch mode is the default mode when using PowerPoint on a touch device such as the Microsoft Surface or other tablets, and lets you use the program even without a mouse. And Mouse mode is the default mode for PowerPoint 2016 when working on a non-touch enabled desktop or laptop. The larger question though is why you can toggle to the Touch mode in a non-touch device. If you are using PowerPoint on a desktop, why you need the Touch mode?

If you want to really benefit from customizing your Ribbon in PowerPoint 2016, then you’ll certainly want to add some commands that are not placed by default within any of the Ribbon tabs. Or maybe you want a particular command available on the Home tab of the Ribbon. Whatever your intent may be, you cannot place any commands within the existing groups that are built within PowerPoint. You first need to add a custom group within any of the tabs available in the Ribbon. Thereafter, you need to populate them with commands.

All Ribbon tabs in PowerPoint 2016 may have any number of buttons that represent commands but they are not scattered all over the tab area. In fact, they are all neatly arranged together in Groups. Each of these Groups has a name that describes what the commands within that Group do. For example, the Slide Show tab in the Ribbon has a group named Set Up, which contains all commands that help you set up your slide show, such as changing show settings, hiding slides, rehearsing and recording slide shows, etc.

View your same slides in different PowerPoint views, and you will see them from another angle. This approach makes sense because viewing slides in Slide Show view gives an entirely different perspective than editing them in Normal view. Further, it's easier to reorder and work with multiple slides in Slide Sorter view and make changes to individual slides in Normal view. All put together, PowerPoint 2016 for Mac provides you with nine different views. Seven of these views can be accessed from the View tab of the Ribbon.

When you add slides to a presentation based on some of PowerPoint’s built-in Themes, you may find that all titles (headings and/or subheads) scream out in UPPERCASE letters, no matter what you do! In some cases, this behavior may happen because the chosen font contains only uppercase letters. Alternatively, and more likely, the presentation’s Theme has placeholders set to produce all uppercase (aka capital) letters. The Circuit and Integral themes that come with some versions of PowerPoint are examples of such Themes.

Color blindness is some sort of color vision deficiency which results in differences in the way that an affected person sees and distinguishes various colors. It is mostly inherited, but can also be caused due to damage to the eye, nerve, or brain. There is no proven way to change these vision deficiencies. When a color-blind user looks at a PowerPoint slide, he or she might view it differently than other people. Even different color blind users may not see the same slide with the same vision. There are three known varieties of color-blind visions.

The PowerPoint 2016 interface sports the Ribbon, which is tabbed. Each of these tabs contains a set of commands. By default, PowerPoint contains eight such tabs. These eight Ribbon tabs can be customized, and you can indeed add a new Ribbon tab as well.

PowerPoint makes it easy to use bright, vibrant colors in a presentation, which can either be good or very, very bad. Used correctly, color can draw attention to important parts of a slide, elicit a desired emotional response, or reinforce a company’s brand identity. But poor color choices can be distracting in ways you might not even be aware of. And any time your audience’s attention is focused where it shouldn’t be, they’re missing your main message.
Some of the most common results of bad color choices in PowerPoint are illegibility, unintentional associations, unclear charts, and the creation of slides that are just plain ugly!
