You may want to create another slide that is similar to what you already have. Have you seen a glossy highlight that is overlaid on the screens of electronic devices such as tablets, laptops, screens, or even phones? You can see an example of this effect in the figure below. The tablet on the left has no such glossy highlight but the tablet on the right does! It's easy to create this glossy highlight in PowerPoint. Even better, you can just create a shape that represents this glossy highlight, and then use it anywhere you want!

Sometimes we come across slides that can be hazardous to our vision! One look at such a slide, and it really doesn't matter if the content is great or not. The reason why it no longer matters is because such slides have nothing understated about them, and they seem to ensure that audiences get distracted. You might end up with a similar slide for no fault of yours, because someone else prepared them for you! In the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, there's a phenomenon called "SEP" that you just can't see. SEP stands for Somebody Else's Problem, and quite simply: we all choose not to see it. I'm pretty sure this same principle applies to all those buttons on applications that we don't know what they do. We just don't see them. Blissfully unaware! For example: "Triggers" in PowerPoint's Animation Pane has been there for a very long time, probably. But it’s only in recent years that we’ve been using them. And we're making up for lost time now. They are genius!

Each PowerPoint presentation contains several slides. Let's compare each slide to a blank canvas or an empty sheet of paper! You can thereafter add content to the slides in much the same way as you use brushes to create strokes of paint, or a pen to write. For example, do you want some text? Then you must add a text box. Want a picture? Just insert a picture and place it anywhere on your slide! Wait, this is not really the proper way to work in PowerPoint!

Pattern fills for shapes are two-color designs comprising lines, dots, dashes and checks. PowerPoint includes 48 patterns such patterns with names like Plaid, Weaves, Shingle and Zig Zag. Pattern fills for shapes are not included within the Shape fill drop-down gallery in PowerPoint. But you can find this option within the Format Shape Task Pane. Here's a question I received today: In my deck of slides, I need to have slide numbers 1 to 8 for the first section of slides. I then need the next section to be numbered 1 to 6 for another section. Is this doable? The short answer is that this is not doable, at least not so at the time of writing this post. Hopefully, this feature will be added in a future release. The long answer is that there is a workaround for those who want this feature at all costs.
